Professional Marine Trainers

We are full-time professional marine trainers, predominately working within the RYA training scheme. Our instructors are selected for their knowledge, expertise and wide range of experience. We operate a policy of ongoing staff development with both in-house and external training.

First Class Facilities

We have a very comfortable, modern classroom equipped to the highest standard with the latest computer simulations including VHF Radio, Chart Plotters, Light & Shape recognition and many more applications. During our weekday courses students may use our friendly in-house canteen facilities. Tea, coffee and biscuits are available throughout our shorebased courses.

All of the above and many more components contribute to a comfortable and positive learning experience.

In fact our classroom is so good other schools often hire it to run their courses.

First Class Equipment

We pride ourselves on the standard of our equipment. Our classroom is state of the art and caters for up to twelve students. Our computers are the latest spec and all have flat screen monitors. This is complemented with a vast range of teaching aids accumulated over a period of some 25 years. Our boats are maintained to the highest standards and provide a thrilling experience.

Outstanding Training Area

The River Medway & Thames Estuary provide a training area second to none. Every aspect of the Advanced Powerboat, Dayskipper & Coastal Skipper course content is catered for. If you want to learn how to navigate in the real world come here. It’s a great challenge, but we will teach you how to do it.

At the Forefront of Developing Powerboat Training

Our former principal Paul Mara has been appointed by the RYA as Chief Powerboat Instructor. He is now responsible for the development of the training scheme around the globe. We wish him well in his new challenge.
